Manisha Ganguli, The Guardian’s visual forensics lead and investigations correspondent, spoke with iMEdD about her involvement in two award-winning investigations that earned the IJ4EU Award in September 2024, during the International Journalism Forum. Ganguli collaborated with two cross-border teams, dedicating months to produce two highly impactful projects. Story Killers, inspired by the murder of Indian journalist Gauri Lankesh, exposed the global disinformation industry. At the same time, The Border Graves Investigation revealed over 1,000 unmarked graves of migrants across Europe over the past decade.
