This website belongs to the civil not-for-profit association by the name Incubator for Media Education and Development (hereinafter referred to as iMEdD) and use of this website is subject to the terms set out below.
By using the website, the user is presumed to have examined, understood and accepted all these terms of use. Where the user does not agree with the terms of use he/she is obliged to refrain from using all services and content on the website.
iMEdD may revise and update the terms of use of the website at any time without any notice. Users are obliged to check the terms of use at regular intervals since continuous use of the site is a presumption that the changes have been accepted.
1. Provisions relating to Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights
1.1. The entire content of the website, apart from the exceptions expressly cited (third party copyright), which includes texts, graphics, images, photographs, data, drawings, videos, sounds, etc. (hereinafter referred to as content) is the intellectual property of iMEdD and is protected by the applicable Greek, European and international laws. iMEdD retains all intellectual property rights relating to the content and copies made on the basis thereof, subject to the exceptions cited in paragraph 1.3 below.
1.2. The website’s content is made available to users for their personal use. The content is subject to changes without notice at iMEdD’s discretion. After acceptance of the terms of use, non-commercial use and reproduction is permitted, in whole or in part, provided that the reproduced product is freely available subsequently via the internet or other appropriate means and is accompanied by a clear and distinct reference to its source.
1.3. Articles, applications, data, multimedia, tools or any other content on the website which bears specific markings relating to creative commons licences are excluded from these provisions. iMEdD may use any type of creative commons licence it wishes. The user is obliged to learn about the specific terms of each type of creative commons licence from the relevant website to which the relevant links refer. iMEdD may freely at any time either change the type of creative commons licence granted for part of the content of the website or cease granting such type of licence. In the latter case the provisions of the foregoing paragraphs shall apply.
2. Use of links to third party websites
iMEdD provides access to third party websites via suitable links. These links have been included exclusively to facilitate website users, while the websites they refer to are subject to the terms of use of the relevant websites. The inclusion of links is not an indication of approval or acceptance of the content of the relevant websites by iMEdD, which bears no liability for their content or for the confidentiality practices or accuracy of the information they contain.
3. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
iMEdD makes concerted efforts to ensure that all content on the website is accurate, clear, correct, complete and available. The content of the website is available “as is” without any express or indirect guarantee about whether the content is flawless, correct, up-to-date, non-infringing or suitable for any use or purpose. iMEdD shall not, under any circumstances, including in cases of negligence, be liable for any form of loss incurred by users of the pages, services, options and content provide via the website, which he/she uses on his/her own initiative, having been apprised of and accepted these terms. Moreover, iMEdD does not guarantee that pages, services, options and content will be provided without interruption, without errors, that errors will be corrected or that answers will be provided to all questions posed to it. iMEdD consequently does not guarantee that the website or any other related website or servers via which the content is made available to users are provided without viruses or other harmful components. The cost of any corrections or services is assumed by the user and under no circumstances by iMEdD.
4. Applicable law and other terms
These terms of use of the website and any amendment or change to them shall be governed by Greek law, European law and the relevant international conventions. Where any provisions of these terms are found to conflict with that legal framework or become unenforceable, they shall automatically cease to apply and shall be removed from these terms without the validity of the remaining terms being prejudiced. This agreement constitutes the whole agreement between iMEdD and the user of its pages and services and is binding only on them. No amendment to these terms shall be taken into account and shall not form part of this agreement if not formulated in writing and not incorporated herein. It is hereby expressly agreed that disputes which may arise from the application of these terms and the use of the website in general by a user, where not resolved amicably, shall be governed by Greek law and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens.
