Dimitris Karlis

Dimitris Karlis is Professor at the Department of Statistics, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He is the director of the postgraduate program offered by the same Department, and he is one of the founders of the AUEB Sports Analytics Research Group. His research interest includes biostatistics, computational statistics, multivariate count data analysis, models for statistical analysis applicable to various scientific fields. He has held positions of responsibility in various scientific organizations. In parallel with his main research activity, he has worked on various projects related to official statistics, clinical trials, financial studies, etc., which were funded by private and public/European bodies.
